1. Who we are
LABOFWEB Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("LABOFWEB", "we", "us") provides ERPNext/Frappe implementation, custom software, CRM, and WhatsApp Business messaging solutions to businesses. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data through our website (www.labofweb.com), our software applications, and our integrations with Meta platforms, including the WhatsApp Business Platform.
2. Information we collect
a) From our business customers
- Business name, contact person name, email address, phone number, billing details
- Login and account information for our applications
b) Through WhatsApp Business Platform integration (on behalf of our customers)
When a business connects its WhatsApp Business Account to our application, we may process:
- WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, business profile details
- Messages sent and received through the connected number (text, media, templates)
- Contact names and phone numbers of the people who message, or are messaged by, that business
- Message status information (sent, delivered, read, failed)
- Message templates created by the business
c) From website visitors
- Information you submit through contact or enquiry forms
- Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected through cookies and analytics tools
3. How we use information
We use information only to:
- Provide, operate and support our software and services
- Send and receive WhatsApp messages on behalf of our business customers, as instructed by them
- Manage message templates, webhooks and account settings for connected WhatsApp Business Accounts
- Provide customer support and resolve technical issues
- Bill for our services
- Improve the security and performance of our services
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use WhatsApp message content for advertising or profiling.
4. Our role with WhatsApp data
For data processed through WhatsApp on behalf of our business customers, the business customer is the data controller and LABOFWEB acts as a data processor / service provider. We process this data only according to our customer's instructions, the Meta Platform Terms, the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service, and applicable law.
5. Sharing of information
We share data only with:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. / WhatsApp LLC, to deliver messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that host our applications, under confidentiality obligations
- Authorities, where required by law
6. Data storage and security
- Data is stored on secure servers with access restricted to authorised personnel
- We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and regular backups
- Access tokens and credentials are stored securely and never shared
7. Data retention
- Customer account data is kept for as long as the customer uses our services, plus any period required by law
- WhatsApp message data is kept for as long as the business customer requires it for its operations, or until it requests deletion
- When a customer disconnects its WhatsApp Business Account or ends its service, we delete the related data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it
8. Your rights
Under applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or update of your data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Raise a grievance
If you are the end-user of a business that uses our services (for example, someone who messaged that business on WhatsApp), please contact that business first. We will help them handle your request.
